Rebranding for Impact: The Journey of Our Community Interest Company's Name Change

Tiah, an avid course participant of different Art courses received private messages from sisters in faith expressing worry about the compatibility of these creative courses with Islamic beliefs. Despite reassurances, attendance from Muslim sisters remained low.

Realizing the lack of representation, Tiah recognized the need for activities that respected Islamic principles while fostering creativity. This realization led to the idea of organizing aniconic art activities, benefiting the entire community.

In the beginning, our community company aimed to cater specifically to the Muslim community with art and craft clubs.

During the process of registering as a Community Interest Company (CIC) and seeking funding, Tiah's vision expanded to prioritize inclusivity. Drawing on friendships with individuals from diverse faith backgrounds, the focus shifted to showcasing the beauty of Muslim countries' arts and cultures, often overlooked in mainstream discourse.

The goal now is to bring people together, fostering understanding and appreciation through shared experiences. By celebrating the rich heritage of Muslim contributions to the arts, our community aims to boost wellbeing and social connections for all participants.
