Introducing Creatwins: A Journey of Journaling, Creativity, and Connection

Two Sisters, Two Worlds, One Shared Creativity

How Bullet Journaling, Art, and Body Doubling Bring Us Together

Creatwins is the beautiful story of two sisters—me and my twin—who, despite their differences, are connected by their love for creativity and journaling. I live in London, my sister in France, but we have decided to come together virtually to share our passion with the world through our new Instagram account, Creatwins.

This account is more than just a showcase of art journals, scrapbooking, and bullet journals—it’s a way for us to motivate each other, explore monthly themes, and build a community of fellow creatives.

Who Are the Creatwins?

Both sisters are neurodivergent, one with ADHD and autism (AuDHD) and the other autistic, which shapes how they approach their creative projects. Like many neurodivergent people, they often find it difficult to maintain consistency when starting journals—I, for instance, have notebooks combining entries from 2021, 2023, and now 2025!

Rather than seeing this as a failure, the twins embrace it as part of their journey. Journals, whether completed or abandoned, tell a story of their lives, their struggles, and their growth.

Our new account focuses on using tools like body doubling, a neurodivergent-friendly technique where having someone present (virtually or physically) helps maintain focus and accountability. For us, this means holding each other accountable through journaling sessions over video calls and sharing our progress online.

2025: A Year of Themed Creativity

We have developed a series of monthly themes for 2025, which we will use as inspiration for our journals. Each theme is carefully chosen to balance creativity and structure:

• January: Lanterns

• February: Flowers & Plants

• March: Arches & Windows

• April: Birds & Feathers

• May: Cities & Landscaping

• June: Patterns (Mosaics, Mandalas, Henna…)

• July: Moon Phases

• August: Crystals

• September: Trees & Roots

• October: Sundials, Hourglasses & Clocks

• November: Ritual Objects

• December: Cozy Winter Warmth

These themes will guide our “cover pages” and overall monthly creations. Each sister will share her interpretation of the theme—Tiah may focus on collages and art journaling, while her sister, more confident in her drawing skills, may dive into detailed illustrations.

Why This Matters: Creativity and Neurodivergence

For the Creatwins, this project is about more than journaling. It’s about embracing who they are as neurodivergent individuals and finding joy in creativity. Bullet journaling, art journaling, and scrapbooking can help with:

• Organization: A creative outlet that also serves to plan and structure daily life.

• Self-expression: Journals allow thoughts, emotions, and experiences to be expressed artistically.

• Focus and Accountability: Through body doubling and community sharing, the twins stay motivated.

• Therapeutic Benefits: The act of creating provides calm, reduces stress, and builds a sense of achievement.

For many neurodivergent people, sharing creative work online provides a sense of accountability and connection. Seeing how others interpret themes, or simply knowing someone is on a similar journey, can be incredibly motivating.
